For restaurants

Restaurant and café systems, built around how you work

From guests ordering by QR code at the table and orders landing on the kitchen screen, to ingredient stock and sales across branches. We build around what you already use, and we’ll tell you when an off-the-shelf POS is the better deal.

In short

NICH TEC builds systems for restaurants and cafés in Chiang Mai and across Thailand: QR ordering at the table, kitchen order screens, ingredient stock and cost per dish, LINE membership and points, and sales reports across branches. If you only need a standard POS, start with an off-the-shelf one. A custom system pays off when you have your own process or need several systems to work together.

What restaurants deal with

Orders get lost at the rush

Orders written on paper and carried to the kitchen go missing or reach the wrong table when it’s busy.

Nobody knows the real cost per dish

Ingredients run out early or get thrown away, because nobody tracks what each day uses.

Sales live in too many places

Walk-in sales, delivery apps and each branch sit in different apps, so someone adds them up every night.

Regulars drift away

There’s no record of who comes often, so no way to bring them back with an offer that fits.

What we can build for restaurants

QR ordering at the table

Guests scan and order from their own phone, with photos and prices. Orders reach the kitchen with the table number.

Kitchen order screen

The kitchen sees orders in time order and marks them accepted and done, so front of house knows what’s ready.

Ingredient stock and cost per dish

Every sale deducts ingredients by recipe, low stock triggers a warning, and you see the real cost of each dish.

Membership and points on LINE

Guests join through your LINE account, collect points, get coupons and receive offers based on what they actually order.

Sales across channels and branches

Walk-in sales and every branch on one page. Delivery app sales come in when the app allows integrations, or from its report files.

Website and takeaway orders

Your own website with the menu, takeaway orders and table bookings, without paying commission on every order.

Messages the system sends on LINE go through your LINE Official Account. They count toward its monthly message quota, beyond the free quota LINE charges for a bigger plan, and they reach only people who have added your account as a friend.

Build your own, or buy off the shelf?

We don’t tell every business to build. If something off the shelf does the job, we’ll say so.

When off the shelf is better value

If you only need to take payment, print receipts and offer standard QR ordering, several off-the-shelf POS systems do it well for a modest monthly fee. Try one first.

When your own system pays off

A custom system pays off when you have your own process, such as a central kitchen supplying branches, recipes that need precise stock deductions, or customer data you want to own. In many cases, building only the missing piece and connecting it to your POS is enough, if that POS allows integrations.

Timeline and price

QR ordering with a kitchen screen for one restaurant is usually a medium project, around 6-12 weeks. The price depends on the details, and we estimate it for free after a 30-minute call.

Questions people ask

How long does a QR ordering system take?

For one restaurant with a menu, table ordering and a kitchen screen, usually about 6-12 weeks. Payments inside the system or several branches take longer. After a 30-minute call we can give a rough timeline, and we confirm it once the scope is written.

Do we have to replace our POS?

Not necessarily. If your POS allows integrations, we build only what’s missing and connect it. If it doesn’t, we lay out the options and their costs so you can decide.

Can guests pay by QR code?

Yes. The system creates a PromptPay QR for the bill amount. Staff check the payment in their banking app or on the slip, then confirm it in the back office. Automatic confirmation needs a bank or payment provider service, which may charge fees.

Who owns the customer and sales data?

You do. The system runs on a server you choose, and you can take all your data with you at any time.
