For transport

Dispatch and delivery tracking for transport businesses

Drivers accept and close jobs in an app, customers check the status themselves instead of calling, and the office sees every vehicle and every cash-on-delivery bill on one page.

In short

NICH TEC builds systems for transport companies, hire trucks and shops with their own delivery team: dispatch to a driver app, tracking links for customers, proof of delivery with photos, signatures and location, cash-on-delivery reconciliation and cost per trip.

What transport businesses deal with

Status calls all day

Customers call to ask where their goods are, and the office calls the driver to find out.

Jobs handed out in group chats

Jobs are posted in a LINE group. Some nobody takes, some two drivers take.

No proof of delivery

When a customer says nothing arrived, there’s no photo or signature to show.

Cash on delivery is hard to reconcile

Drivers collect cash on many bills, and at the end of the day someone matches it to job sheets one by one.

What we can build for transport

Driver dispatch

The office assigns jobs, or drivers accept them in the app, and unassigned jobs stand out straight away.

Vehicle and job tracking

Vehicles and job status on a map, and a tracking link for each customer.

Proof of delivery

Drivers take a photo, collect a signature and record the location at drop-off, for every job.

Cash collection and reconciliation

Record what was collected on each bill and see what each driver owes at the end of the day.

Costs and reports

Distance, fuel and jobs per vehicle per day, so you can see which routes pay.

Orders from your customers’ systems

Take orders straight from a customer’s website or sales system, with no job sheets to re-type.

Messages the system sends on LINE go through your LINE Official Account. They count toward its monthly message quota, beyond the free quota LINE charges for a bigger plan, and they reach only people who have added your account as a friend.

Jobs to drivers in an app, tracking for customers

The admin assigns jobs to drivers by zone. Drivers see their stops in order in the app and take a photo and signature on delivery. Customers get a tracking link on LINE and stop calling to ask where things are.

How it helps your business

  • Customers stop calling to ask where their delivery is
  • Proof of delivery every time, photo and signature
  • The admin sees which drivers are free and where

Build your own, or buy off the shelf?

We don’t tell every business to build. If something off the shelf does the job, we’ll say so.

When off the shelf is better value

For ordinary parcels in modest volumes, a major courier or an off-the-shelf route planning app is better value.

When your own system pays off

Custom pays off when you run your own vehicles and drivers, have your own steps such as installation on delivery, collecting old goods or several ways of taking payment, and want data to flow straight into sales or accounting.

Timeline and price

Dispatch, a driver app and customer tracking links is usually a large project, around 12-24 weeks. The price depends on the details, and we estimate it for free after a 30-minute call.

Questions people ask

Can drivers use their own phones?

Yes. The driver app works on Android and iPhone, or as a web app that opens on the phone without installing anything.

Can we track vehicles all the time?

Yes, while drivers are on a job. Tracking with the screen off needs an installed app, or your existing vehicle GPS if the provider allows data access. Drivers should be told, and under the PDPA you keep only the location data the work needs.

Do customers need an app to track deliveries?

No. Customers get a link by SMS, or on LINE if they have added your LINE account, and see the status right away.

Can it plan routes automatically?

It can order stops to shorten the distance. Planning around many constraints at once, like load capacity, delivery windows and fleet size, needs to be scoped as its own piece of work.
