Cloud suits variable workloads, fast growth and distributed teams. On-premise suits steady predictable load, latency-sensitive systems, and data that must stay in-country for legal or procurement reasons. Most Thai businesses of any size end up hybrid, and that is a sound architecture rather than indecision.

What 24/7 monitoring actually means

Monitoring is only useful if someone acts on it. We monitor servers, network, storage and application availability, with alerts routed to an on-call engineer under a defined response SLA — not to a dashboard nobody is watching at 3am.

The common failure is alert fatigue. A system that pages on everything trains people to ignore it, and the one alert that mattered gets lost among four hundred that did not. We tune thresholds during onboarding and keep tuning them, because an alert nobody trusts is worse than no alert.

Ask any prospective provider what happens to an alert raised at 2am on a Sunday. If the honest answer is that someone reads it on Monday, that is business-hours monitoring with a 24/7 label.

Disaster recovery is not the same as backup

A backup is a copy of data. Disaster recovery is a tested plan for resuming operations — restoring data, rebuilding systems, redirecting users, and confirming it works. We set RPO and RTO per system with you, then design to those numbers rather than to a product's defaults.

Every reduction in RPO and RTO costs money, and the curve is steep at the low end. Going from 24 hours to 4 is affordable; going from 4 hours to 15 minutes usually is not. Setting the targets explicitly is what lets you spend where it matters and accept longer recovery where it genuinely does not.

We test restores on a schedule and record how long they actually took. That number — your real recovery time, not the vendor's claim — is the most useful figure in your continuity plan, and it is routinely several times longer than businesses assume.
