What Does Managed IT Actually Cost in Thailand?

One of the hardest parts of outsourcing IT is knowing whether a quote is fair. Managed IT pricing in Thailand varies widely, and the cheapest number on paper is often not the cheapest in practice. Here is how the pricing works and how to compare fairly.

Common pricing models

Most providers price per-device, per-user, or in tiered packages. Per-user tends to be predictable for office environments; per-device suits asset-heavy setups. Tiered packages bundle a defined scope — make sure you know exactly what is in and out of scope before comparing prices.

What cheap quotes leave out

A low monthly figure often excludes after-hours support, on-site visits, project work, or hardware. When response times are not in writing, "support" can mean next week. Always compare quotes on the same scope and the same SLA, not just the headline price.

Value, not just cost

The real measure is total cost of downtime avoided plus staff time freed, against the monthly fee. A slightly higher fee that prevents one serious outage usually pays for itself. Ask providers how they reduce incidents, not just how they fix them.
